Collection of Information About a Person
It is the duty of the head responsible for appointing persons to positions to ensure that only persons meeting the requirements of impeccable reputation are appointed to and hold such positions. Taking this into account, and in accordance with Article 17 of the Law on Prevention of Corruption, before appointing a person to the relevant position, the head of an institution or body must, and in certain cases may, apply to the Special Investigation Service, hereinafter referred to as the STT, for the STT to collect and provide the head of the institution or body with relevant information about that person.
A person may be appointed to a position only after the information from the STT has been received and assessed.
