Quality Policy

The Quality Policy currently in force at the Fisheries Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter – the Fisheries Service), approved by Order No. V1-103 of the Director of the Fisheries Service of 25 July 2022, covers the following services provided by the institution:

  • issuance of commercial fishing permits;
  • issuance of certificates for fishing vessels of the Republic of Lithuania;
  • validation of catch certificates.

Quality Policy Objectives

  • to maintain the quality of services provided to economic operators at a level that meets the highest international standards;
  • to provide services that best meet the needs of economic operators;
  • to improve service quality, promote services, and enhance staff qualifications.

Strategic Objectives and Areas of Activity

  • to maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the requirements of the LST EN ISO 9001:2015 standard;
  • to identify and anticipate the needs of economic operators;
  • to improve service delivery processes and introduce technological innovations;
  • to contribute to the continuous improvement of service provision processes;
  • to systematically enhance the qualifications of staff at all levels;
  • to ensure staff accountability for the quality of services provided and for the quality of their own work in accordance with their duties and competencies.
