Report Corruption

If you have information about legal violations or misconduct that may be planned, are being committed or have been committed at the Fisheries Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania, hereinafter referred to as the Service, we invite you to report it.

Information about violations at the Service may be submitted in the following ways:

  • by e-mail: [email protected];
  • by post or in person at: J. Janonio g. 24, 92251 Klaipėda, indicating on the envelope “To the Competent Entity Personally”;
  • directly to the competent entity at the Service.

Information may be submitted by completing the Report on a Violation Form or in free form.

It is recommended to indicate:

  • the circumstances of the violation: who committed, is committing or is planning to commit the violation, when and in what manner;
  • the date and circumstances under which the information about the violation became known;
  • any available information or documents that may help establish the circumstances of the violation.

Information about violations may also be submitted anonymously. However, in such cases, the possibilities to examine the information in detail and to provide updates on the progress or results of the examination may be limited.

The Service ensures the confidentiality of persons who submit information about violations in accordance with the procedure established by legal acts.

Information about violations is submitted in order to protect the public interest. Submitting information solely for the purpose of defending personal interests is not considered the submission of information about a violation.

A person also has the right to submit information about violations and criminal offences that may be planned, are being committed or have been committed directly to the competent authority — the Prosecutor’s Office or the Special Investigation Service, hereinafter referred to as the STT.
