Supervision of Lobbying Activities
A lobbyist is a natural person, legal person, or another organisation or its division that carries out lobbying activities.
Lobbying activities are actions carried out by a natural person, legal person, or another organisation or its division with the aim of influencing the persons referred to in Article 2(1) of the Law on Lobbying Activities, so that legal acts are adopted or not adopted in the interests of the lobbying client or the beneficiary of lobbying activities.
Lobbying activities are unlawful if:
- the lobbyist does not declare lobbying activities in accordance with the procedure established by this Law;
- lobbying activities are carried out by a person who is not entered in the list of lobbyists.
The list of lobbyists, information on the suspension, resumption and removal from the list of lobbyists, as well as declarations of transparent legislative processes and declarations of persons in respect of whom lobbying activities have been carried out, are published in SKAIDRIS, the Information System for Transparent Legislative Processes of the Chief Official Ethics Commission.
